Elizabeth Warren Comes Out Swinging Right at Joe Liebermans Sleazy Old Lobbyist Face
By Ben Mathis-Lilley

On Monday, Elizabeth Warren more or less announced that shes running for president. On Wednesday, she made clear what kind of campaign shes going to run: One that takes no prisoners, pulls no punches, and comes out of nowhere to absolutely wallop Joe Liebermanthe former Democratic senator/VP candidate turned quasi-Republican and phoney-baloney lobbyist hackfor his sleazy deal to help Chinese telecom giant ZTE try to get out of trouble for violating U.S. sanctions and possibly facilitating espionage against American targets.

(6,110 posts)She hones in on the meat of the problems. Me thinks she is exceptionally intelligent as well.

She definitely goes to the mat for the people.

(6,110 posts)she must be over the right target because she is receiving so much flak.
Very few politicians attack corruption in politics, and that is why Elizabeth Warren
is so special in my book.

(51,280 posts)It begins at 4:42 and lasts about an hour ... you can see how much her public speaking style has improved... but she was spot on then and has just become so much better and stronger

(1,345 posts)if she keeps using the word "corruption" in reference to our beloved leaders.
Here is a screenshot from her campaign launch video:

(171,035 posts)for anyone thinking of running; they run, they have to run against her, and she's a force.

(15,068 posts)She is unflinching in her assessment of our current state of affairs.
And I liked her willingness to address our military presence in the Middle East. Northrup Grumman and Lockheed won't like it, but I think everybody else will.
Elizabeth Warren's passion is infectious and I could definitely support her.

(11,270 posts)I blame him for Gore's defeat. Instead of holding Cheney accountable and exposing him for the right wing dangerous person he was Lieberman wanted to look Presidential and was nothing but nice to Cheney.
The exact thing a VP shouldn't do when an attack dog is needed.
Joe Lieberman, always looking out for himself, as usual.

He's horrible, and if Gore hadn't picked him, probably would have won.

(1,239 posts)Proved to me he was no Democrat. I went from thinking I might be able to retire to now realizing I will work until I die or I cannot. Not because this is what I want to do but economically I really have no choice.

(10,095 posts)I'll never forget when Cheney was asked something about the Halliburton money he made and Chheney said (with his usual smirk) that government had nothing do with it. A bald face lie, Cheney's fans cheered and mopey Joe just smiled meekly and the debate moved on. I yelled at the t.v.

(10,842 posts)I have been thinking that she would be best for us (our country) if she stayed right where she is. Her knowledge of the banking excesses makes her a fabulous person to oversee the financial world.
However, her history of following the money certainly gives her a great overall view of so many problems in our government. You have another presidential convert in me.

(23 posts)Only a committee of committed DNC strategists looking at the numbers could ever pick the bland and mildly irritating Joe Lieberman as a leader for the party... he had all the passion and personality of a soggy matzoh. Not to mention his tendency to appear on Fox because of his Democratic counter-messaging. Schnook!
