Eugene Robinson just pretty much guessed at how this shutdown will end.

At a certain point when the pressure gets too much, Trump will just cave and he'll claim victory and say the wall's already almost built anyway. When you are totally divorced from the truth and your followers have shown repeatedly that you can lie like a rug about the exact same thing in opposite ways on back to back days and they'll just eat the shit sandwich, then what difference does it make?

Trump knows damn well he is in this way over his head. Right now McConnell is still giving him cover. Remember the 11 th,that is the next Payroll date for Fed Employees. We are at day 14 and the 11th is 21 days which has been the previous longest shut down. And DHS will start to see hundreds just not show up knowing it finally is time to do something else or file Bankruptcy .

Trump would have done what Eugene Robinson said he would do yesterday, but he got backlash from the racist crowd, which is his core of supporters. I think that Trump would only cave if RW media is ready to back him up with lies, which they usually do.
