Why now? Because I think he held onto the wall issue so he could use it as a card in poker. After the mid-term election, his hand went weak, and the wall issue was like an ace.

Is Paul Ryan’s shutdown. He didn’t want to handle it and tossed the hot potato 🥔 off to the Democrats. It was a winner for him.

For two years ReTHUGs did not give him his wall money. Dems win the House and he shuts down the government.

You don't just give Trump money with no accountability. Then there's the bidding process for who is going to do the building. Then, of course, where do we get the material? From America I would hope? Trump's wall isn't real, it's a metaphor for hatred of brown skinned people.

done by "proposal." That's because different designers would bring different project descriptions to the table. Then they are scored by the government. The highest scored proposal would then be negotiated as to price and timelines for completion. There could end up being multiple contracts awarded. So for right now they might as well pull any dollar figure out of their asses. Irrelevant at this point. This is a complete dog and pony show.

He can't make a "deal", where both sides get something. He doesn't need to "win". He needs others to lose.

So he can continue to help little Putin.

Trump's main purpose is to turn the US into a patsy for little man Putin. After Trump is forced out or indicted, he will escape to Russia. He's not really worried about legal action against himself (and he sure as hell doesn't care if his family is jailed) because he has plans to escape to Russia.
