Scarborough: "Conservatism was always supposed to be about reality"

Watching the DVR replay of this morning's Morning Joe.

He's talking about the fake wall, but he slipped that little gem into his rant.

I must have missed the part over the last few decades in which conservatism was about reality.

Basically, it is all about- in their minds- recreating a fictional version of America that never truly existed or turning what progress has been made backwards. There is essentially no positive vision of the future for them.

type of accusation that the poor are less moral than those who make more money, and thus don't deserve any money collected from those who make more.

Whether it's been slavery or the Holocaust or any other injustice against different groups of people, it's always about taking away their humanity. They always use language to de-humanize before committing whatever atrocity.
