If A, then B.

IF you know they are Russian trolls, THEN it is obviously not impossible to discern the difference betweeen sarcasm and their clumsy attempts to rile you up.

The sarcasm tag predates the days of Russian meddling. We all know why it's there.

One of the following is probably true:

A. There is a veritable army of nudniks running around destroying my favorite literary device with insipid shitposting designed to, I dunno, irritate people.

B. Some people are shit at reading.

On a side note, you remember what it was like before the Russians showed up? Back then it was all the "bought" people. Man, they were all over the place. People "bought" by the GOP. People "bought" by Big Pharma and Big Oil. People bought by McDonald's, the Koch brothers, and high fructose corn syrup. I was "bought" once, because I made an unflattering comment regarding then President of Venezuela Hugo Chavez. I never got any money, though. Check must have been lost in the mail. I think my mailman might be bought. >_>

On a side note to my side note, should I have tagged my sidenote "sarcasm"? Because I thought it was pretty obvious.

No. Unless you’re a great writer it isn’t always obvious what a person means when they write something. Especially on the spur of the moment.

Your conceit comes across very clearly though.

When composing a post, look at the line of buttons below the title. The last one says smilies. Tap that, then tap the ... at the end of those little pictures, and is at the top left. Tap that to enter into the body of your text.

Sorry if you already know this, but not everybody does, and it took me awhile to find out myself.

In this case, it's not.

President is a hard, taxing job - when done properly. Concern about a candidate's age is based in medical reality that ALL of us experience. Senility is a valid concern. Frailty is a valid concern. Death is a valid concern.

Beyond that, Dems win when young people are energized to show up. See: Obama & 2018. An elderly candidate MIGHT not excite them adequately to defeat the worst President the world has ever known. That is a realistic concern, as well.

Do the DUers slinging "Ageist!" around this site in support of Biden and Sanders, et al, have a line where they WOULD be concerned with electing an elderly President?

80? 90?

There are three older candidates I know are running/possibly running. Two of them are look/perform/think much younger than their physical age. The other looks much much older than the physical age, and seems to be stuck in another era conceptually when he talks about race.
