The Level of Cray-Cray That Should Worry Everyone

Today, Trumpski announced that he was willing to continue the government shutdown for months, even years. He's also threatening to up the ante by implementing National Security Emergency Orders to . . . get his way on the wall funds. His reasoning (such as it is) is captured below, a repeating pattern of incoherent blather. This isn't new. It's been going on from the start but I suspect the crazy will ramp up as the pressure increases and legal woes/investigations continue. If anything the following reminds me of an early, rough draft interview with the Wall Street Journal, an interview conducted in the early months of Trumpski's tenure. This presumably is the Leader of the Free World. Not fooling anyone. This is the Squatter-in-Chief in all his ignoble glory.

Btw, I read today that funding for regular court operations will shortly run out. What a coinky-dink! One way to avoid accountability is simply shutting the legal processes down.

Treason weasels, all of them.

And as Wilmore rightly pointed out during the primary debates, Trumpski's cray-cray infected the Republican Party, raising their cray-cray through the roof.

And it continues, day after day after day.

We've entered the cray-cray Universe.

The Goddess's ear, Cha. The level of craziness is at the exploding level already. And the GOP? They continue to sit on their thumbs, even as the man repeats word-for-word Russian propaganda. The history of Afghanistan, for instance.

The only good thing I read today is Mueller's grand jury expansion for another 6 months. Maybe that's what tripped the crazy wires although I don't think the man needs much help to go off the deep end.

Incredible.

It is worrisome. A crazy man is sitting in the White House, a crazy man who is getting crazier by the minute. These past few days have indicated a clear decline in his ability to think in any clear manner. Or maybe, it's the fact that the old babysitter (Kelly) has been replaced by a whacked-out ideologue (Mulvaney).

If that's the case, this is only the beginning. Hopefully the beginning of the end.

Trumpski is the National Security Emergency, has been from the start and he's getting worse. It's too polite to call these press conferences 'stream of consciousness' events.

They're cray-cray, incoherent spewings from a person in power. And yes, this is the same person who would lo-o-ve to have the absolute power of all the despots and dictators he so admires.

Chilling. Particularly when you have one entire political party unwilling to admit the danger.

Republicans are nervous after the democratic House passed two republican Senate proposals for keeping government open.

What Trump is doing with his latest tweets is effectively saying "I am going to set myself on fire, please give me some of what I want to stop me, even a teeny amount".

Republicans are nervous and will be increasingly so the longer this shutdown goes on. 2020 is looming and will be coming 'round the corner faster than anyone realize. Already, Susan Collins and Cory Gardner have voiced 'concerns,' which is more about their own electability than anything else. I've read the airports are in chaos because TSA workers are calling in sick, a 200-300% increase. The National Park system has been overwhelmed because Trumpski irresponsibly left them open without the normal supervisory staff. All these Federal workers and contractors have been left in the lurch with no paychecks coming in and normal services have been abandoned. Have you seen the trash buildup in DC? Give it another week and the noise and complaints and outrage will grow deafening. And rightly so.

This is damn hostage situation with Trumski threatening to bring the whole government down while demanding a ransom, his $5 billion. Interestingly enough, the 11th hour is reporting that Trump had no plans for a long-tern shutdown and is only now recognizing the broader implications.

Incredible.

Normally, we get his craziness in pretty small doses. A quick Q&A as he gets ready to fly off somewhere. Or a quick invite before a meeting starts for photos and maybe a few comments. But today was a doozy. He came out ready to rumble. And he had plenty to say, although admittedly it was mostly incoherent and disjointed. I am sure in his mind it was his finest hour.

As I sat there kind of half listening to him blather on, yelling back to him occasionally, it dawned on me that he really is out of touch and pretty much bat sh*t crazy. I kept looking at the stooges standing behind him and they mostly were expressionless....but every now and then they looked at each other. No eye rolling was observed but they smirked and gave each other knowing looks. You gotta know that THEY KNOW. When history is written, their names will be there, too, as being complicit in this travesty. For allowing him to stay in office, they are guilty and should be held accountable. I can’t say I am confident that this will end any time soon, because they are all in too deep. I really wish this was a novel or a movie, but it isn’t so I just hang on and hope he doesn’t destroy all of us.

I've read the first 15 minutes of today's meeting with Congressional leadership was a profanity-laced diatribe on the subject of impeachment.

Yes, he really is bat sh*t crazy. The Republicans on the other hand are absolutely complicit and craven. They own this, all of them.
