(83,746 posts)I met and spoke with her when she campaigned for our Senator Markey. Very small gathering at one of his campaign offices. She is a dynamic speaker.

Wish she was my Senator.

(3,344 posts)I hope she does well. Over the next few months many candidates will come forward. I may change my mind again and again. But for now Warren is my favorite. It will depend on how the primary campaigns go.

(4,642 posts)Unless Pres Obama or HRC decided to run again, I would have to think on that a while. It is really too early to know for sure. I just wish her the best, a strong wind at her sails always and good health.

(145,147 posts)Senator Warren is clearly a very strong candidate who I would be happy to support
BTW, the Texas delegation at the national convention was seated behind the Mass. delegation. Senator Warren sat three rows in front of me

(16,373 posts)I'll work and vote for whoever wins the nomination. And she may not be my first choice when it's time for the Illinois primary. But she's at the top of my list as of right now.
I do believe that her platform has broad appeal. Of course, the financial industry, their lobbyists, and the pols who feed at their trough, find her a totally unlikable, dis-likable and thoroughly nasty woman.

(25,816 posts)It's long past due. And we Democrats have many female candidates.
As a man I say that my gender has a pretty bad record as leaders.
I'm thrilled to see so many women in the House now, so much diversity.
To a great degree, women started this powerful movement.

She's smart, speaks well and has the credentials and she will persist!

(6,640 posts)the progressives would like her if they would let go of the idea of only a man can win. Ps. about her 'Native American scandal" I was told I was 1/8th Cherokee by my uncle. When I did the DNA it came back with none. Reason, they were sold on the idea back when so-called genealogists went around claiming that they could prove that and get you money. My uncle said, a little before he died,"I spent a lot of money and time but finally I proved it" It was all a scam. Too bad he did not live to the Ancestry.com era. He died in the 80s.

(49,987 posts)Although, sadly, King did represent Council Bluffs for a term or two before re-districting.
I was there but didn't get in.
"I think visiting a place like Sioux City is going to teach you a lot about other communities in Iowa as well as throughout the Midwest and the Rust Belt where manufacturing jobs and other economic opportunities may have changed in recent years," said state Rep. Chris Hall, D-Sioux City.
Warren will head to rural Storm Lake in deep red Buena Vista County where registered Republicans outnumber registered Democrats 36 percent to 26 percent, and about 48 percent are independents.
Art Cullen, editor of the Storm Lake Times and a voice for rural Democrats, said it's notable that Warren chose to stop in his often overlooked town on her first visit to Iowa.
"My advice to Democrats in rural Iowa is to show up. And shes showing up," he said. "Tom Harkin showed up there. Berkley Bedell showed up there. J.D. Scholten showed up there and damn near beat Steve King. The independents are still a huge number of voters in the 4th District, and they arent necessarily racist. It's just that nobodys talking to them."

(7,358 posts)People need to wake up and realize how manipulated the public is by MSM commentary. Elizabeth is as qualified as Hillary Clinton, although her experience comes from a more economic background. None the less she's super smart and willing to call the Banking Industry out .. to their face. She's not afraid to go there.
