A few days before the new Congress took over, I posted this

It didn’t generate much discussion, but it is exactly what Pelosi did.

Now, I say that the DNC should start running ads attacking McConnell with the message that the only reason the govt. is closed is because McConnell is a coward.

Hell, Reagan vetoed sanctions against South Africa, and the Senate and House overrode the veto. Why can’t this Senate stand up to a jackass like Trump? Fucking cowardice.

The bill that passed the Senate in December was a continuing resolution that extended funding for all of the unfunded parts of the government, but only through February 8, 2019. What the House passed were two bills --one funding all of the unfunded parts of the government, except the Department of Homeland Security, through the end of September 2019 and a separate bill extending funding for DHS through Feb. 8, 2019.

McConnel has given control of the Senate to Trump. There are now not three separate branches of government. Besides violating the constitution which the Right always complains about, isn't McConnel easing Trump into dictatorial control?
