I'm feeling more and more that PUTINS plans are to take America down the road to a

Civil War! Divide and Conquer! This has been planned years back. Taking back the house was OUR chance to fight this plan. RUMP and TURTLE (and RETHUGS IN CONGRESS) continue with Putins bidding. Mueller is probably trying to figure out the PARDON problem. The SC will come into play at some point i'm sure. Be ready to fight!!!!!

either directly as "elected president" or by guiding the "puppet president(s)" in Russia (President Medvedev 2008-2012) and now in the US. He has wanted to ruin the western powers his entire life and destroying NATO is his goal. Russia may be poor but they are way ahead of us in cyber warfare and propaganda.

I'm truly worried for this great country!!! My fear mostly is how the senate and Supreme court (thanks to TURTLE) could destroy us as a nation!! Lot is riding on Mueller's report and what congress does with it. Thank God we control the HOUSE!!!!!

You don't think Putin is doing this just to get proxy control of the U.S., do you? His dream is to recapture the "Russian Empire" (i.e. the entire Iron Curtain bloc or more, with the only difference being the abandonment of communism in favor of fascism). That means undoing both NATO and the EU. He was heavily involved with the Brexit campaign, and is enabling right-wing nationalists throughout Europe, many of whom are likely to throw in with him in a new Warsaw Pact.

At this moment, Europe is the sole bastion of actual democracy. If they fall, given the current situation in the U.S., which countriles are actually going to be left defending popular democratic ideals? Canada? Australia? New Zealand? Japan? Merely a drop in the bucket compared to the world of strongman authoritarianism that will rise from Putin's reconstituted Russian empire, Trump's America, the current Chinese regime, and lesser dictators around the world. In my darkest moments, I see democracy going the way of communism: a political system that, in the end, couldn't prevail against a new feudalism that will come to dominate the world for the foreseeable future.

Prepare, all good citizens. If Trump declares a “National Emergency” in order to fund his wall, the House and the Senate are empowered under the 1976 National Emergencies Act to repudiate it. We will face a constitutional crisis if the Senate simply rolls over. We must mobilize.

These are scary times, for sure. As DUer bluestarone noted upthread - I've never seen it this bad. I'm not quite to the age bluestarone is, but I'm not far, either. Started becoming aware during Nixon. Truly I have never seen things this bad in this country, this government, this culture, or these voters. Used to be that people like the Deplorables were marginalized, laughed at, and not taken seriously. Now, they're objects of mass media obsession. Time was, "Dumbfuckistan" was something we joked about. Now it's a clear and present threat to everything we've always held dear, and taught to revere, about America.

a common enemy (Russia) but the problem is that at least a third of the country does not see them as an enemy. They would place their own nation below that of a hostile foreign power. That is really sick. I don't know what we can do in this situation.

and trumpists see Russia as a "white" country which backs trump. They are essential traitors.

Putin has installed a real Manchurian president, which is why I pushed back so hard during the recent primary at so-called Dems like the Justice Democrats and Our Revolution fielding competing candidates against the which IMO, endanger our taking back the House.

If we hadn't won the House Mueller would be gone, funding for the wall would have already been appropriated and full, police-state fascism would be being installed now.

trumps mission is to deliver a fully-owned, subsidiary nation to Putin.

Shortly after Trump was installed he started rapidly dismantling the State Dept. and I was really shocked. I thought, wow! he really was put in place to destroy any influence our country has in the world. Taking out the State Dept. seemed like a very direct and quick way to put that process in motion. I am critical of many policies and actions of this country but I certainly do not want Putin installing white supremacists here and throughout western Europe or lining the pockets of his oligarchs possibly even faster than our own line theirs.
