Yet AG is just a passing thought after his awesome run for Florida governor?! I have zero doubt that election was stolen l... he should be given SERIOUS consideration as a potential 2020 candidate.

people have jumped from a Congressman to the White House before, though usually they stop in the Senate first.

Abe Lincoln was a Congressman for only 1 term

James Garfield went from the House to the White House

I don't think anybody has jumped from mayor directly to the presidency.

Plus, I think The Powers That Be behind the scenes in the Democratic Party loved O'Rourke's stunning fundraising ability.
