But they are doing themselves no favors if their intent is to delegitimize her and her views. Quite the contrary. There will always be some who disagree with her on this or that for reasons both good and bad, but she represents herself extremely well and ham fisted efforts to put her down are only increasing her overall appeal and exposing the sexism, racism, and ageism in her fiercest opponents

happen with the advent of Representative Cortez.

I think part of the problem is the misogyny that is prevalent throughout the media.

2016 highlighted that more than ever. The characterizations by the MSM of the Democratic nominee were deplorable, and a similar pattern is following against Representative Cortez.

Hell, a NY Times tweet was slammed for NOT initially pointing out the historical significance of Representative Pelosi becoming speaker for the second time, but instead first pointing out the "hot pink" dress she was wearing, as though that was the "important" point. Because of push back the NY Times removed that tweet saying it was a inappropriate choice of words. Bullshit. The press has been doing this nonesense for a long time.

Pretty much what drives most of the news media.

But look, that coverage becomes power if used correctly.

Ocasio-Cortez bashing is quite popular. Sort of a bipartisan thing as far as I can tell. She must be doing something right.

She gets her and our messages out.
M$M has less time left for RWNJs.
Other Dems get work done without getting their elbows jostled.

She's handling it quite well, too.

They built her after the win. Now they are just doing what they do. She is a media created personality.
