Trump and his stupid wall

Sunday evening, Trump said this, “I informed my folks to say that we’ll build a steel barrier. Steel. It’ll be made out of steel. It’ll be less obtrusive, and it’ll be stronger."

This is a very curious statement from the real estate builder. When he built his ultimate building, Trump Tower in New York City, did he use steel for the construction?

Nope. He used only concrete. From Wikipedia:

Trump Tower was also the first skyscraper with a concrete frame, and so the contractors had to complete a floor before they started erecting the floor above it. Concrete was more expensive in New York City than anywhere else in the United States, which raised the construction costs.

The concrete business in New York, like many other cities, is controlled by mobsters. By using only concrete, Trump was able to avoid any labor-related issues during construction.

So concrete was strong enough for his ugly building but steel will be stronger for his stupid wall, fence or whatever.

Also, I had no idea that mobsters controlled the concrete business.
