Update on JohnnyRingo
D.U. Family I ask again for more prayers and vibes for Bob. Today was encouraging anyway as his bloodwork is good saying no pneumonia or infection. They lowered the oxygen on his ventilator to get his lungs breathing on his own again.
This is the longest in 24 years of knowing him that I haven’t been able to talk to him. I found myself wanting to call him to discuss Rachael Maddow and then the thoughts of him laying in a bed sedated. I miss him beyond! Today he opened his eyes long enough to see his son and to hear the words I love you.
I myself was on a vent when I was 20years old so the fear is very real still for me. Asking for more vibes and prayers that his lungs will begin to work. We would text each other when we weren’t on the phone with each other. These last five days have been awful😭
Did I mention he’s the best car mechanic ever and he got me into British sports cars years ago and he does all the work on my Triumph Tr4 and his Tr6. He’s truly an amazing man and more compassion than anyone I have ever met. I’ve emailed him every night and kept him updated on everything he’s missed the last few days including telling him I love him as that’s his last words in a text to me every night! Keep the good wishes and prayers coming. He reads every post I swear in D.U. Daily and nightly since it started. I know he has a lot of friends here because he’s a avid poster and photography buff!

You two are lucky to have one another, and I know all of DU is betting on him to be back to texting and talking and making those cars like butter.
I hope he recovers.
One of the things I love most about DU is that when one (or two) of us need support, everyone pitches in. We're like one big family...we don't always agree on everything, but the love is real and always tr... tru... trum... supersedes any disagreement. (Some words my fingers just refuse to type anymore.)
