So why should Americans pay taxes on a shutdown government. We need a line in the tax forms

we fill out that apply a deduction relative to the percentage of government we are not getting for the number of days in question. Why should we pay for trump’s folly of political hostage taking? Fuck him and the horse he rode in on.

So far it seems we are at 17 days of 30% of the government shutdown. I think we are entitled to a tax deduction.

I’m sure some whip smart, industrious millennial can sort this out into a simple algorithm that we can all plug into our taxes and be happy. Finally the average person will get a tax cut, instead of a butt plug made of razor blades.

If the IRS is still closed on April 15, you shouldn't have to pay at all. marylandblue Jan 2019 #1
You seem to be making a strong case for not paying the furloughed workers. onenote Jan 2019 #2
The government runs at a large deficit. Your taxes don't cover the cost of operations. n/t PoliticAverse Jan 2019 #3
