Elections have consequences.

Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell seem to have a little difficulty accepting that reality?

So what if the Democrats are now in control of Congress - we'll just go around them - seems to be their thinking?

We'll just create a "crisis" and declare a "national emergency"?

Donald Trump is not just holding hostage those 800,000 Federal workers that are not getting paid during this shutdown, he is holding hostage all of America.

Trump persuaded the "media" into covering his national address from the Oval Office. The network officials debated whether or not to give him time? His lies had simply become too much to accept. As a compromise, they would give equal time to Nancy and Chuck, the "American Gothic" couple.

The last election presents quite a challenge for Donald Trump. The Democrats are now in control of the House of Representatives, the House of the People, and he has encountered a very different reality from the one of the last two years, with Paul Ryan in charge of the House. True to form, he acts in the same way he has acted since he claimed the throne.

Like with Comey, Sessions, and most recently, General Mattis, he either fires them or finds a way to get rid of anyone that might oppose him. He can't fire the Congress. So, he has decided he will just go around them.

I don't know if there is a "crisis" on our border or not, but I do not think there is a "national emergency"? There are a lot of powers granted to a president when a "national emergency" has been declared.

However, the "crisis" with the immigrants and their children needs to be fixed, there is little doubt. But, is a "wall" the best that America can do??

Elections have consequences and the Republicans need to understand who has the power of the purse. Also, the Democrats have the power to impeach, whether or not they choose to do so?

By shutting down our government, or parts of our government, Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell, and their Republican followers, are attempting to hold our country hostage. Give them $5.7 billion dollars for their "wall" and they will open your government. Does that sound like a good deal to you?

Are showing the American people by continuing this demanding a wall or else, they learned nothing from what happened to them from the Mid Term elections. They are setting themselves up for a much worse situation when the American people vote against them at even greater levels to remove them from office in 2020. They thought the blue wave was bad, it just increased 2-3 times bigger against them now. trump's done , and taking more republicans with him over the edge. Their time is coming as Mueller gets closer, and th enext election gets closer, and they're going to lose both situations badly.
