I am glad I wasn't the one who noticed the racial demagoguery in Chump's speech from the jump

He started the speech by saying undocumented immigrants are stealing jobs from African Americans and Hispanics. It was a veritable twofer of bigotry, implying undocumented immigrants are stealing entry level jobs and African Americans and Hispanics are only capable of holding them.

And it went down hill from there...

stealing "jobs". His base can't or refuse to dig deeper in that statement.

Here in Los Angeles, early in the morning, you can find young to medium age Latino men hanging out at different locations, i.e. Home Depot, etc. waiting for people to hire them to do odd jobs (under the table payments). Hell, I went to 7 Eleven yesterday early morning, and they were there.

Russians in this country stealing? Brighton Beach has the Russian Mafia. Seems NY has plenty of Russian lawyers, ready to meet with the tRump administration. Friends of Donald are immune from this immigrant hatred, it seems. He can rest assured no immigrant or citizen will be stealing jobs from his spawn, since none of them work!

that undocumented immigrants have been doing. The good jobs should be reserved for Trump's supporters. Which are an odd segment since they also oppose education and think we're elitists.

So it sounds like they want to separate the non-college educated jobs so that the good ones are reserved for whites, the shit ones are for black and brown Americans, the scapegoats will be undocumented immigrants, and the wealthy Republican "job creators" will lower their costs for labor.

I guess they thought they could hit multiple targets with that statement: the Neo cons would think that there would just be more people in lower end jobs flooding the country, and liberals would think that the undeserved of this country were being undercut even further.

And they say you can't please everybody!

The problem is for the most part the mainstream media pretends not to notice out of fear of being accused of not being "fair and balanced".

Trump's entire presiduncy has been an appeal to the base emotions of morans. What is painfully obvious to the press in the rest of the world gets a pass here. It's pathetic.

... but I'm thinking some of his base fell for his sly dig at African Americans. Out west they want the Mexicans and Central Americans to work in their fields for less than low wages, no benefits, and then go away when the pickin' is done. By insinuating that POC and Hispanic American citizens would even want those jobs is really a racist slander, and he's masquerading as someone who's "looking out for the little guys."

"The Latest: Trump says immigrants taking minorities’ jobs

August 31, 2016

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Latest on the U.S. presidential race (all times EDT):

11:25 p.m.

A day before his highly-awaited speech on immigration, Donald Trump is accusing people in the country illegally of taking minority workers’ jobs.

Trump tells a rally crowd in Washington state that refugees and people living in the U.S. illegally “take jobs from hardworking African-Americans and Hispanic citizens.”

The GOP nominee also says he’s going to stop the flow of drugs across the southern border. He says he’ll address the issue in Wednesday’s speech.

Trump said on Twitter earlier Tuesday that he would meet with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto on Wednesday."

___

11:10 p.m.

Donald Trump is railing against the Democratic Party, calling it the party of slavery and Jim Crow.

The GOP presidential nominee says his party is the party of freedom, equality and opportunity.

Trump is continuing his efforts to appeal to minority voters at a Tuesday night rally in Everett, Washington, just north of Seattle, where he has drawn a largely white crowd.

He claims that Democrats have “used” minority voters for “decades and decades” and will continue to use them.

He says he “will fight for you like no one ever has before.”
