We have a large number of qualified candidates so far. Rather than each going off spending funds and riling up the base, I would like them all to gather, coordinate a number of town halls across the country, and find out what OUR issues are.
An open discussion to fill the first year rather that the same old same old back stabbing bullshit.
Out of an open process a real platform may be developed and a real leader may emerge that will unite us behind our ideals rather than some personality.

There is an overtone of the old "smoke filled rooms" when you take the people out of the equation. Depending upon who writes the platform, it can easily return to this. But I do think that the process, especially early on, needs to stay away from the "horse race" aspect as much as possible. We're going to have upwards of 30 candidates early on. They need a process that encourages participation, and avoids confrontation.

I would hope that more people watch what candidates say, how they campaign, and let the process unfold before jumping on the bandwagon for any particular candidate.

I can't afford to be fussy. The national situation is too dire, the danger too great.

All you other Democrats, fight it out among yourselves - but please keep the fight clean and constructive. I'll enthusiastically support the candidate you choose.

I really don't want to see our nominee taking stretches off the campaign trail, even to fundraiser, there are many ways now to fund raise that don't require a personal presence. The people that so far that have shown that they are willing to really hit the bricks are Beto, Joe, Bernie, Liz Warren, my pick likely would be from among one of those given that I want an agressive campaigner.

and before that he campaigned for democrats in every special election and in state races, he has lots of miles put in. Liz Warren is everywhere, and in the 2016 General election, she put in more time and miles for Hillary than anyone else in this year's potential field.
