(32,693 posts)A celebrity dating backstory would add an additional layer of interest and make up for the lack of family photo ops.

(12,344 posts)I don't think he's gay and I don't think anyone on DU would care if he were. But it's something he might be worried about for political reasons.

(12,344 posts)You could have googled your question too, but you didn't. You asked it here.
We post right wing rumors and gossip all the time on DU. Some people go over to Free Republic just to gather fresh quotes from them, even though 100% of DUers can do that for themselves.

(12,344 posts)The rumor is out there. It exists. If his candidacy gains traction, do you really think you won't be hearing more about it? You surely will. But not from me because I actually don't give a crap either way.
I was just answering your question. If you don't like the answer, ignore it.
Don't make false accusations. I had no intent whatsoever other than providing information. It didn't even occur to me that someone on DU would have a problem with this. If you think it's a "smear," that's on you. Because I don't think that way. But I know a lot of people who do, and that's just sad.
Just so I know, are there any other false rumors about prominent Democrats I am not allowed to mention? Did you know that some people say Hillary Clinton did something illegal once? Am I allowed to say that?
HipChick
(25,485 posts)You are trying to smear a black Democratic candidate, that's your sole objective, and by continuing your ludicrous claim, trying to blame someone else other than taking responsibility. Sounds like you are taking lessons from your idol, Trump...
marylandblue
(12,344 posts)You are making false accusations against me. For no reason. You don't know anything about me.
Take your own responsibility. You don't like this subject, stop talking about it.
Or go search my posts. Maybe you'll find the positive things I said about him. I think he's a good candidate. But more likely you'll ignore that and just traffic in your form of hate.

(6,280 posts).... that you did not smear Cory Booker with false accusations. It sounds more like someone is using trumpian tactics on you. The only false accusations that are being throwing around are the ones aimed at you.

(99,710 posts)I couldn't give a rat's ass if he is or isn't but I suspect he isn't. I like the way Richard Gere handles the rumors. He doesn't confirm or deny them because if he denies them it suggests there is something inherently wrong with being gay.

(6,280 posts).... will go to great length, even if it means twisting someone's words around in order to gain kudos from easily susceptible like-minded people whose only regret is that they didn't think of it first. Ignore them, and to your earlier reply, you're welcome.
