People coming up from the south are coming because of US policies

Reagan created MS-13.

Our government supported violent anti-communists... Pinochet, Contras, Operation Condor, and more through the School of the Americas. Also using countries as laboratories for economic policy and we HEARD it was a "success", but really it just meant the gaps between the rich and poor were made even greater.

The region is destabilized because of what our government has done, and it's only going to get worse.

Walls are usually opaque. So that means you don't have to see the consequences of our government's actions, right?

Trump ended an Obama era propram that had allowed families to do so at US embassies, as Maria Teresa Kumar noted on MSNBC tonight. That is forcing the families to make the dangerous 2,000 mile trek to our border to ask for asylum.
