Trump thinks "to negotiate" means to bluster, bully, and bribe.

That's why he's doing so badly in a position that requires real negotiating skills -- where you also take into account the needs of other parties. And it's not always about money, despite what he thinks.

He was a terrible businessman. Most folks in NY knew this. Too bad, so many got fooled by watching reality tv and thought he was actually a good business man, good at making deals. He sucked at it. Stephanie Ruhle was just talking about how the people he did business with would laugh at him, because they often got the better end of the deal. But then he would call up the media and say Oh I just did this awesome deal for XXXX amount of dollars. Meanwhile he got the shitty end of the deal. He's never been a good negotiator.
