Funny story few people know about MacArthur told by Eisenhower in his autobiography: Eisenhower served as MacArthur's aide for years. Early on, during the post-WWI years, MacArthur led a cavalry charge into the mass of Bonus Marchers on the National Mall. They were demonstrating peacefully to demand the combat bonus they had been promised, never paid, and Eisenhower said he watched in horror as MacArthur rode into a packed encampment and started slashing men with his word, hacking bits and parts and ears off men who had been in the trenches. Decorated American combat vets. Hacked. For demonstrating.

It’s a fitting monument to Trump and his wall. Someone should take the pieces that were cut out and weld them into the word “Trump” and put it above that portion of his wall. Turn it into a tourist attraction. Or a temple for Trump worshipers to visit.
