Did anyone else watch Rachel Maddow last night talk to a doctor familiar with RBG's condition?

The physician is not treating Justice Ginsburg, but he is very familiar with her condition, the surgical procedure she recently underwent, and her expected recovery process.

He said her prognosis is very good, which made me feel a whole lot better, given the right wing ghouls who are anxiously awaiting RBG's demise. God I hate those motherfuckers!

And was really heartened by the physician's comments, a specialist who has diagnosed and operated on similar cases. He predicted RBG will be back on the bench in a month, that the recovery time is well within the window of normal healing. Even at Justice Ginsburg's age.

In fact, during the commercial break, Rachael said he'd told her that he'd performed the exact same surgery--with a successful result--on a patient who was 105-years old. Incredible!

The report did make me feel a wee bit calmer, particularly in the face of the Trumpsters anticipating her demise.

He was very reassuring on Rachel's show last night. RBG's surgery went well, she is recovering normally, and for even a much younger person, the recovery takes time. Dr. Flores also mentioned he has successfully performed this same surgery on a patient who was 105! He agreed to come back to Rachel's show, if she asked.

RBG is still doing her job, reading briefs and transcripts of oral arguments and will vote on cases, only from home instead of on the bench. Of course, given the current political situation, many of us are extremely concerned because we are heavily invested in RBG's wisdom and jurisprudence. It was completely predictable that Republican predators came slithering out from under their rocks. It's what they do. My money is on RBG and her recovery.

“Aren’t you glad we invited Dr. Raja Flores to speak about this?”

My answer Is a definite YES!

She said she invited him because she was worried and had trouble sleeping.

I believe he is the head surgeon in the hospital where RGB was operated on.

I want her to be as healthy, happy as possible. I don't want her to go through any suffering just to stave off more fascist control. We, as a country, do not deserve such dedication imho. I hope she can do the job she loves as long as she wants but I hope she knows that she has gone above and beyond the call of duty to our country.
