He thrives on chaos and acrimony. Meanwhile, this is all a great distraction from that huge legal cloud hanging over his head.

Government is much different than business (and reality TV). He's ad-libbing and doing it very poorly.

5. He does not know how to govern

He only knows how to demand what he wants. It has worked for him all his life and his wealth and connections (including mob) have insulated him from consequences.

...and he isn't learning a thing because he rejects everything that does not already support his errant thinking.

The only silver lining is that his entire criminal history is coming to light and the exposure is also highlighting many others who have their hands very dirty. Perhaps we can sweep all this corruption up--close loopholes and pass laws to make sure it doesn't happen again once the dust settles.

7. Here is the difference between being a business man and POTUS
Fri Jan 11, 2019, 01:23 PM
Jan 2019

When he was just a business man, he could shout demand and make proclamations and when he realized he wouldn't win, he could just wait a while and quietly back down.

Now that he is President, the camera is stuck in his face on a daily basis, and he will be asked about all the demands and proclamations that he has made. There is no room or time to wait a while, and then back down, and change his tune. He doesn't know what to do when millions hang on every word of his bullshit proclamations and demands, and he finds out nobody is going to cave to his bullshit proclamations and demands.

That is where we are. He has no idea what to do. He can't save face at this point. He boxed himself in with a losing fight. Add that he also thinks this is a distraction from his crimes, and it explains everything.

13. also, this all serves the purposes of his masters in Moscow

Until the destruction of the U.S. causes the whole global economy to crash...I mean, at the end of the day, the wealthy depend on the masses to keep them wealthy--if the world is plunged into global anarchy and darkness, wouldn't that fuck up the oligarchs lifestyles along with the rest of us? I mean, they're insulated to some extent, but wealth doesn't mean as much if society collapses...at that point "wealth" means the local warlord with the most effective cadre.

Then again, Putin basically wants a return to the days of the USSR...except without even the pretense of communism, just the rearrangement of the global balance of power to give him and his cronies more leverage over Europe.

Way to go, Republicans. The party that killed America.

It's his only card. He could care less about providing paychecks. He's covering his flank.
