Publicly announcing your offer in a negotiation is an amateur move

Publicly announcing your offer in a negotiation is an amateur move.
Big time Amateur move. He’s just posing.
Trump thinks he’s a big boy because he’s negotiating in public now.
He’s like a little kid on the diving board at the pool.
He’s all “mom, mom, mom! Mom! Mom look at me I’m negotiating!”
He’s only doing it this way because he doesn’t have the guts, repeat he doesn’t have the guts, to do it across a conference table looking someone in the face.

...is making the offer he made. It was effectively the same offer he's been making: you give me my wall and you don't get anything. The DREAMer deal is pretty bad; since it's temporary and it offers no path to citizenship, he could very well sign the legislation to get his wall, then come up with some sort of maneuver to revoke the DREAMer parts.

He didn't do very well, but by dangling bait that looks appealing to less engaged people, he's fighting not to win, but to not look terrible.

The whole stunt is an attempt to stop the bleeding and flip the script. As soon as he was done they started with their talking points. They will hit the Sunday shows hard with the same talking points so exacting you will think they are choreographed. Then they will evaluate whether it works to turn the polls around.

They have become as predictable as the sun rising in the east.

He is trying to turn opinion against the dems
When they turn him down he is going to cry that we are the unreasonable ones
