There is no "Urgent need for border security"

our borders are more or less secure. And Congress should and will appropriate what is needed to continue border security and improve it where needed.

But as for "urgent crisis" try infrastructure or Climate Change or income inequity or health care. Or a traitor in the White House. Those are urgent.

Border security is in no way the major issue. Or even in the top ten. It was made one by the Trump and the GOP.

The homicide conviction rate:
3.88 per 100,000 for native-born Americans
2.9 per 100,000 for illegal immigrants
0.51 per 100,000 for legal immigrants

and then we have these statistics... talk about emergency??? let's look at guns deaths, car safety, poisoning, suicides...

poisoning deaths
Number of deaths: 68,995
per 100,000 population: 21.4

Motor vehicle traffic deaths
Number of deaths: 38,748
per 100,000 population: 12.0

firearm deaths
Number of deaths: 38,658
per 100,000 population: 12.0

suicides
Number of deaths: 44,965
per 100,000 population: 13.9
