The vice chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee said Sunday that it was “news to me” that then-candidate Donald Trump was still in talks to potentially build a Trump Tower in Moscow through the end of the 2016 campaign.

“That is news to me, and that is big news,” Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) said on “Meet the Press.

“Why, two years after the fact, are we just learning this fact now, when there’s been this much inquiry?”

Warner said the revelation, which Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani shared publicly for the first time in multiple interviews Sunday, would have been a “relevant fact for voters to know” going into voting booths in 2016. Giuliani said Sunday that Trump had shared the timeline in a written statement to special counsel Robert Mueller.

I thought we already knew about the later date that Trump Tower Moscow talks went on. Or is this an even later late date?
