The only one I could think of would be the older Cubans in FL who don't want any others to enjoy the freedoms they have.

(83,654 posts)I read that trump paid Cohen to rig pols in the primary. Anybody think he hasn't paid someone to rig them now? I have frankly never believed his pol #'s remain high. I call it fake news.

(43,049 posts)Note that if you dig into those 35 pages, you will find that there is that 50% Latino number, but that's just general approval. The "strongly approve/strongly disapprove" question gives more interesting answers.
Now, "Latino" can mean many things-- Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Mexicans, Mestizos (if that definition still exists), Argentinians... Maybe even Brazilians. Although Census data was used, it was not clarified how well defined the Latino groups were.
Every one of these groups, and subgroups, have their own interests and opinions.

Here's the actual poll on the Marist site though...

(4,533 posts)There are dozens of polls. In small subsets of those dozens there is a chance of sampling error. Just by chance alone a bunch of pro trump Latinos can be called. If another poll confirms it we can pay attention.

(11,884 posts)Of a rigged poll for trump , not a real one. They create propaganda any way they can to promote their reality , not the truth.

He is a hard core right winger who adores the orange maggot and thinks Limbaugh, Coulter, Levin and Hannity are Gods. He is a miserable little prick and is very selfish and has no sympathy or empathy of those elses fortunate.
I tell myself husband to stay away from him but he goads my husband all the time. And tells him he is a loser liberal. My husband just laughs back at him in the face calling him silly.

I live in an Hispanic (mostly Cuban) neighborhood. Yesterday I was in the waiting room of a local garage while my air conditioner was being fixed (South Florida has hot afternoons). I overheard a conversation in Spanish that I barely understood between two other customers and a service manager. I knew that they were talking about a terrorist attack in Colombia. I asked, "What happened?" and they switched to English and explained the situation. Next the conversation was about the immigrants crossing the boarder and they seemed to agree that the immigrants have to come in legally and "wait their turn", like they did. I listened. Then they talked about the evils of Socialism in Venezuela and the only other woman there asked "Why would anyone want to live like that?" I responded, "Was life better under a dictatorship?" With that, one of the men asked me where I was from, and we all shared our backgrounds. I, from my birthplace, Washington DC, and the others from Cuba, Colombia, and Peru. Then my car was ready.
My fourth poll member is a Cuban neighbor in his 70s who daily walks the streets and alleyways feeding the feral cats in our neighborhood. He carries paper bowls, bottles of water, and dry cat food in his backpack. He always stops to talk whenever he passes by my back porch. He came to the US in the 60s and lived in Arkansas for a few years. He absolutely loathes Trump and everything he stands for. He keeps up with the news and his rantings bring me so much comfort. I just walked in from a conversation.
I don't think that it's mostly "older Cubans" who support Trump. I used to think that.
