Ask your Republican members of Congress to share Trump's wall plans with you.

5.7 billion dollars in tax payer money, surely there is an exact proposal with studies on things like immanent domain impact, engineering details, environmental impact, total projected cost, studies from effected agencies etc...... Surely this exists, right? Trump has had two years to get this together.

I have been asking Senator Daines and Representative Gianforte to share that with me since day one of the shutdown. Almost everyday. Then I point out that no real conservative could support throwing $5.7 billion at something that Isn’ ’t a really solid piece of legislation.

weakening the structure (much like bridges) as those steel spikes erode and become looser over time.

Without a rust inhibiting paint to protect the steel what is the projected lifespan of such a wall?

What's it going to cost to replace and repair whole sections of a wall that will begin deteriorating from day one?

What will the annual costs be to continually repaint the wall to forestall rust and deterioration?

Trump has no plan. This wall BS is all a ruse, a fundraising trope, a diversion from the headline news.

I wish that everybody in the U.S. would write to their Congress critters asking this question. The Democrats in Congress should start asking this question. Where are the detailed plans? How was the specific amount of $5.7 billion arrived upon?

"Who will profit from Trump's border wall?"

Evraz, Russia's second-largest steel company, owns three American steel companies: one in Pueblo, Colo., one in Portland, Ore., and one in Chicago. Russian Roman Abramovich, who lives in Moscow, owns the controlling shares in these "American" steel companies.

If Evraz gets a contract to supply steel slats for a border wall, a lot of our hard-earned tax dollars will end up in the pockets of Russian oligarch Abramovich and his cronies, including Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Interestingly, Ivanka Trump is friends with Abramovich's wife.

NOTE - This comes from the Salt Lake City Tribune, not some left wing rag like the NY Times.

How much of the money (insert any figure) winds up in tRumps pocket either directly or indirectly? How about in Putin's?

Follow the money.
