President Donald Trump has repeatedly held up the stock market as one of his preferred scorecards of his administrations policies.
Sunday marks the two-year anniversary of Trumps inauguration. The S&P 500 is up nearly 18% over that time frame. Going back to Ronald Reagan, thats the second best performance in a presidents first two years in office.
How the markets will stack up during the rest of his presidency remains to be seen. CNN Business will update this tracker periodically.
I can't link the images here but there are some great graphs and tables at the link that Trump supporters won't like. Bush supporters too. Obama's bull market has become Trump steaks, well done with ketchup.

(8,419 posts)That is, don't assign the year the President (or pResident) is inaugurated to the new President. Budget, legislation of the new Pres not in effect so the year should belong to the previous.
Also you can take it back to Teddie Roosevelt and the result is consistent. The repukes suck.
Now, I have given detailed stats to a handful of repukes, in each case, they refuse to admit the stats are accurate.
