"Here's what I wish the Democrats would say to Trump:

Mr. President you can have your wall. You can get it the same way that President Obama got Obamacare; the way Lyndon Johnson got Medicare; the way Franklin Roosevelt got Social Security. In each case the president had a project he wanted enacted; so his administration crafted a bill. That bill went to Congress where committee hearings were held; amendments were proposed; studies were conducted that tested the cost, effectiveness etc. of the proposal; testimony was held in Congress; debate ensued and if the measure had enough support, a vote was taken and the measure was passed. That's how you legislate. It takes hard work, planning and the ability to actually negotiate. Your pet project doesn't get to leap frog over the pathway laid out by the Constitution and 250 years of precedent. You have chosen to skip over this entire process (even when you had majorities in both Houses) and have resorted instead to taking the American public hostage in exchange for your wall. You want a wall? Put down the gun you are holding to the head of the American people and get to work."

Wreck havoc, misery and financially destroy all that is left of the dwindling middle class and his puppet joyfully complies as his strings are pulled. Vlad has the plan, take us down and come in and winner will take all. trump believes he is one of the winners, pretty sure Vlad has other plans. Useful puppets lose their usefulness.

DFT thought he would become a leader if he was the pResident. Instead he is sucking the toes (or any other 4 letter noun you choose) of every foreign despot- Vladimir Putin, Kim Jung Un, DickFace Bin Salmon (or whatever his name is). Yeah, you get the picture. He is finding out that his "strength" has made him very weak in the eyes of the world. He will go down in history as the weakest, most influence-able autocrat that ever was. He is beholden to everyone, and is unable to craft his own policies, even if he was capable of imagining such things.

Work--and in particular, this kind of work--requires assets. skills, and tactics that Toddler 1 doesn't have: strategy, logistics, interpersonal communication, a reputation, credibility, patience, negotiation skills, and so on. He has nothing in his tool chest.

When he "goes to work," all he really does is put on a suit and play businessman. Real businessmen don't have safety nets of NYC real estate to bail them out of beginner-type mistakes.

Consequently, he has reached the age of 72 and the only thing he knows is how to hang on to the ball until everyone agrees to play the game his way.

We're in this situation because he is a low-ability person with no discernible talents or skills that serve anyone but himself.

they are deliberately screwing people over in hopes they quit. And they are making it harder to recruit new people in the future. Especially in federal law enforcement, border patrol, Coast Guard, and other jobs that actually do something about illegal drug smuggling and human trafficking across our border.

What we might need are walls in limited strategic areas. If he had a proposal for 5 or 6 (or 10 or 12, whatever the number) strategic areas that needed a wall, that could be part of the negotiations. But Democrats have to get some things in return - DACA, TPS, perhaps not just extensions but paths to permanent residence and citizenship .

Trump knows he can't get a wall through the legislative process; he couldn't even get it when Republicans had both houses. He's said many times he wanted a shutdown; I still say the wall is only an excuse. It gives him a feeling of power to have 800,000+ people suffer because of his actions.

with themselves, and say to themselves, what is this? We can't do anything!

If it involved paying bills off, forget it. Add to the deficit and let the democratic leaders in Congress fix it/pay it.

If it involved cutting taxes and services to tens of millions of people who need and use such services, republicans will scramble so fast to get it done that it'll make you dizzy!

Trump had no experience in government prior to January 2017 and he doesn't seem inclined to learn. He would rather everyone just let him have his way. This is what you get when a large group of people get the misguided idea that "Government needs to be run more like a business." Elections do have consequences, and The Tantrum-Throwing Toddler was the consequence of voting with the "Government as a business" mindset.

Hello all,

I am a senior in pre-production for my final thesis film "Open". This film takes place the night Trump was elected and I believe many of you will be drawn to this film. This film deals with racism, immigration, and misogyny. In order to bring this film to life, we need all the help we can get. Please if you can share this link with your friends and family and visit the fundraising section of the website. Thank you and let's get him out of office!
