While it is colder than a well digger's ass here in the DC suburbs, it was worth braving it . . . .

. . . . . to see the Blood Moon.

Yes, it is red when at totality. We're away from urban and most suburban light pollution and the night was crystal clear.

Wow.

For those west of the East Coast, do yourself a favor and be sure to see it.

We've been having lots of rain but the clouds broke long enough to see the moon slide into Totality. Then the clouds socked back in, and it started pouring.

but crystal clear here in this part of Western Washington.
You could see the details on the moons face.
Unfortunately i had to go inside after only half the show...
