Fox & Friends Apologizes for Accidental Graphic Saying Ruth Bader Ginsburg is Dead

by Ken Meyer | Jan 21st, 2019, 8:19 am

Fox & Friends apologized on Monday after briefly airing a graphic suggesting that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is dead.

As the show came back from commercials, they briefly showed a graphic of Ginsburg with the caption 1933-2019. The image was on screen for only a brief period of time before it was dismissed for Ainsley Earhardt‘s upcoming interview on campus culture.

A screen capture of that graphic:

Pretty much standard tv journalism practice.

That doesn't excuse them displaying it.

Those are done in advance because it takes too long to research, write and edit them upon someone's death. That's not the case with this kind of graphic, which can be done on a moment's notice.

Summarizing all of the accomplishments and milestones of a major public figure's life takes a lot of research and preparation, and can't be produced on a nano seconds notice. Periodically newspapers update that info so as to be able tor respond quickly if needed.

It takes NO lead time to caption a photo of a person with birth and death dates. In fact, it can't be done in advance when a person is STILL ALIVE. This is heinous, pure and simple, whether they ran that graphic for a second or an hour. Vile.

Over the years, they've published trash like this, then rescind the report. It sets viewers up for more viewing, glues them to the tube for a few more hours. FNC always picks a person who is perceived as an obstacle to fascist rule, publishes nonsense about them, then claims it was an error of some kind. It's an old tactic.

when a Republican is charged with a crime, he is mysteriously listed with a (D) after his name... "innocent mistake" by a low level staffer is what is claimed. Scooter Libby, that Congressman that was "sexting" teens, etc.

Why was the graphic created in the first place? Now we can see what is their wet dream. Funny how these so-called pro-lifers are always quick to wish people dead.
