OP
Can I close my eyes and pretend we are back there and the last 2 years never happened?

My mother made a doctor appointment for my aunt, and I had to take her. So my niece tagged along, and we huddled together, in the car, listening to the ceremony on the radio. It was SO cold, that day, and I had to keep popping inside to see if my aunt was ready to be taken back home.
I know we could have just waited and watched the re-broadcast, but it was such a historic event, I wanted to be a part of the original.
And, I was really excited to share this experience with my niece because 4 years earlier she voted for Bush, and now she was a super motivated Democrat. She was going through a really strange phase. Thankfully it was a very brief, strange phase.
