Think About This For A Second....

or not. How many successful people do you know? I'm not just talking financially, I mean people that are good at what they do, engaged in their professions or vocations, busy exercising and implementing their talents. What are they like? Odds are they aren't obsessed with the news cycle. They likely don't involve themselves in an hour by hour battle of one-upsmanship. In all probability, they don't find themselves consumed with a need to issue petty insults and diatribes against anybody they disagree with. If somebody doesn't like them, they aren't single-mindedly pre-occupied with getting the best of their perceived tormentors. That's not how normal people, particularly successful normal people behave.

Now for contrast, consider our current President and his family. Here you are, presumably at the height of personal achievement, in the most powerful position in the world, and you are fixated on your Twitter account. Continually preoccupied with "counter-punching" and responding to slights and criticisms, no matter how lowly the source. Lashing out at every adversary in childish terms. You should be at the pinnacle of your career focused on potential accomplishments and leaving a legacy. Instead, you worry that everyone is out to get you and is seeking your personal destruction and the destruction of your family. Successful people are also pretty good at recognizing their weaknesses. Mr. Trump apparently has none.

This is the behavior and characteristics of not only someone who has serious mental issues, but are the habits of someone who is doomed to failure-again and again. One only needs to look at the business career of Mr. Trump to see where this is headed. The problem is, it isn't one of his tacky casinos or his sham "university" that is going under, it's our country. Need I say more?

would say were the six most important people there, only one was a jerk. The others were among the most intelligent but down to earth people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The jerk did everything he could to elevate himself even when it often debased others. The other five kept their eyes on our mission and would do anything to help everyone be successful. Big difference. One of them was my direct supervisor, who I still keep in touch with.

The birthplace of the Free Speech Movement in protest of the Vietnam War.

The people I dealt with are the best minds on the planet. And that isn’t just the Faculty. The best and brightest students in the world go there. I was very lucky!

One could make a very credible argument that without BSD there would be no Internet, Linux, nor any other Unix-like system, and not many proprietary (closed) systems such as Windows, game consoles, etc.

BSD code is everywhere. Someone should do an "It's a Wonderful Life", but try to describe a world where the Berkeley Software Distribution never existed.

You are absolutely right. Trump is so fixated on Twitter - slights and insults - because he knows deep down that he is an abject failure at everything.

instead he's lost in some bizzaro world where everyone is a potential enemy. Everything that would be background noise to a normal person is front and center in his psyche. I'd guess half of the time he's making boasts about being the best or the greatest is him trying to convince himself that's he's successful.

If you want to be a success, listen to Donald. He guarantees it! Learn the rules to achievement:

Rule #1- Lie
Rule #2- Cheat
Rule #3- Attack your opponents
Rule #4- Have a list of handy insults
Rule #5- Always claim that you are a success
Rule #6- If you keep saying something enough, enough people will believe it to be true
Rule #7- The public is stupid, take advantage of them whenever possible

Not in any way, and he knows it. His every waking hour is consumed with hiding this fact.
