Amazing to think about how some wanted to choose someone else to be Speaker. There was so much hand-wringing about wanting "new blood" or "someone younger" ... and how it was time to "hand over" control to a new generation because the "old folks" already had their chance. Basically they wanted change for the sake of change. What a short-sighted mistake that would have been! Especially NOW.

I cringe at the thought of where we'd be now with "someone new" in charge. New is not always better. Different is not always better. EXPERIENCE COUNTS!!!!!
