The Super Bowl will take place in two weeks.
This shutdown will impact one of the busiest sports events of the year.
Both senators here are Republicans. Johnny Isakson even tried to nudge TSA into going on strike.
This looks like one big, giant fiasco in the making.

Georgia Senators Contact Info
If you are lucky to have a repub senator who is speaking out against the shutdown, mention their name & that you hope that reasonable republicans will join forces to get our government open again! For instance, when I call McConnell & others, I tell them that my senator, Cory Gardner (R-CO), has said that we need to get the government open again & then negotiate border security. Your message carries a tad more weight when you throw another GOP name around.
I will most definitely do that

(5,122 posts)I work the weekend shift. 7a-7p at a hospital. Traffic is going to be a nightmare. I work the detox unit. I expect to see an increase in admissions with more parties in town. Thats usually the case when there is a major event in town. More booze and drugs flowing. I will probably pull double shifts because we will be busy and short staffed. Nature of not having enough staff in mental health anyway.
