I Knew This Was Coming. Now They're Innocent Little Angels Being Victimized By Meanie Liberals

I was having a discussion with a friend on Facebook about the incident (my friend linked to a video purporting to "tell the truth" about the incident, narrated by a guy wearing a MAGA hat, who proceeds to edit the video of an interview with Nathan Phillips so it sounds like he admitted to instigating the incident--normally I don't respond to my friends' RW bullshit on Facebook, but I just couldn't let this one slide), and here's a response I got from someone I don't know:

"All I see is the desperate attempts of a Liberal agenda trying to make a seemingly minute incident into a tornado of hatred. Like you said, these are kids, 15,16 year olds. Other than that kid having a look on his face that seemed to be smacked, the more I think about the whole situation it’s shameful what that grown adult man and his followers did. What did he think was going to happen. He shouldn’t have even approached those children. That kid was probably pissing in his pants cause he was just standing there waiting for his bus and all of a sudden, Wham, he’s thrown into this bullshit and is receiving death threats. For what. Because he stood there, staring and frightened at what was going on. Totally sick that the Liberal media blows everything way out of proportion but then again, that’s what all media does in order to push an agenda."

I pointed out earlier that this fits a very familiar pattern. RWers show up someplace specifically to cause trouble, they cause trouble, the media reports it, about a day later (after the RWers figure out how to spin it their way) they respond that THEY were actually the victims. It's happened easily a dozen times in the last 2 years. And the problem with people trying to "both sides" this one is that one side has video evidence and the other side tells you not to believe your lyin' eyes.

And as for the feigned outrage about the kids and their families receiving death threats, I'm sure Dr. Christine Blasey Ford weeps for you.
