But the Trump team has heard them all as they were going through the privilege determination process. My takeaway from what I read at the time was that Cohen mostly recorded conversations he had on behalf of Trump (like with Stormy and Avenatti), as opposed to his direct convos with Trump.

Trump, for all his faults, has apparently been very diligent about preventing recordings / documentation of his conversations in texts or emails. It wouldn't surprise me if he had people check their phones before coming into his office at Trump Tower, and he might even have had some countermeasures in place to prevent people from illicitly recording him.

In drops and drabs, to minimize the impact when released. Makes the release dismissable as old news.
