Who is responsible for the shut down?

We are blaming the shut down on the wrong people. Here is my thinking.
As a boy I lived in a neighborhood with a mentally challenged boy. The leading jerk kid, the bully, in the neighborhood told him that if he threw a rock through the window of the Jewish family in the neighborhood everyone would think him to be smart. So he threw the rock and got caught. Who was responsible.
Trump is the mentally challenged participant in this. Who is the leading jerk? Answer, Druggy Rush Limbaugh and the devil's trophy wife Ann Coulter. They are responsible.

Even though he hasn't been speaking out on the issue in public, Donald talks to him every night about how things are going.

Trump (our stable genius) and his advisers and sycophants (Mulvaney, Miller, McConnell) are to blame. Not some radio host.

We have co-equal branches of government. The senate could override Trump's veto if McConnell would bring up the original bill for a vote.

In your analogy it would be like an adult stepping in and stopping the mentally challenged boy from throwing the rock, and explaining how it is wrong and would hurt people and property. That is the normally functioning role of the senate, but McConnnell refused to behave like an adult.

McConnell is the real bully.

This could end with a vote on the original package with a veto-proof conclusion. McConnell has refused to put the legislation back on the floor, one that he and his people wrote and voted on. In the annals of American history, McConnell's name will be a dark, indelible stain, the Leader of the Senate who sold out his own country.

the message. They controlled all 3 branches of government for 2 years and did not build the wall. The emergency is manufactured, and MSM allows/is complicit in this duplicity. Next up a call to Schumer. Free speech is allowed, but the public airwaves should not be allowed to be used to spread falsehoods, just as you cannot scream fire in a movie theatre.
