Posting here and blowing off steam is fine, but we need to do more.
Oh, I completely agree with you! Unfortunately... When the party is continually smeared from within it's difficult to get people to feel motivated to "do more".

All I'm saying is that I certainly know that our party is NOT corrupt, and NOT ideologically bankrupt. I know that our party is NOT the party of the one-percent. I also know that our party is NOT a bunch of do-nothings, and I know that our party DOES care about climate change.

I think we can all agree that when these types of lies and smears are being spread, it causes great harm. The division and suspicion and resentment it creates only serves to benefit the GOP. It certainly does NOTHING to support or promote the Democratic Agenda.

Granted this a Democratic chat room and therefore we're all supposed to be Democrats. No problem there.

But I think that a good chunk of the problem is this "party line" bullshit that's being focused on by the media. We all "should" be focusing on the country, the nation, the people, instead of letting ourselves be contiually spread apart by the media and the agitators who do want the nation split apart. We're being gullible and letting others tell us what to think and what to be pissed off about instead of looking at the long-term picture.

Personally I don't give a rat's ass what the talking heads on TV say, just to keep their ratings up. And I don't give an amoeba's ass what the agitators and trolls say about the Democratic Party, because I'm not interested in "the party" in itself as much as I am about what "the party" can do to bring the nation back together. "The party" is not an end in itself: it's just a fundraising organization whose purpose is to put a specific agenda, and specific individuals, on the table. It's a means to an end.

We are leting ourselves buy a bill of goods.
