Just started a Go Fund me and I feel horrible...

Had to go on Medical Leave in November...due to the holidays both my pre-authorizations for new meds AND my State Disability application have taken FOREVER.

I have tapped my parents, friends and even had to "borrow" from my teen daughter, just to keep us afloat. (Needless to say our Christmas was a dollar store extravaganzza.)

The medical info from the Dr *just* got received yesterday...now it's "pending processing"...add that to them calculating how much I made last year, and a week "waiting" period...and who knows when it will come through? (My teen just had her Bday and paid for the whole day herself, and I still had to have her buy gas and cat food...) I'm trying not to freak out but I guess I hit the wall...just like when my body went south and I had to stop working...

So yeah, I'm not here to ask ANY of you guys for help...I just needed to vent at feeling useless and like a beggar when I am supposed to be the grown up and keeping it together.

The good news is that my new meds finally came and after 2 doses, I *think* it might be working...so hopefuly remission is on the way. That's the only light at the end of a LOOOONG tunnel.

Thanks for letting me rant...

ETA: Checked the DU TOS and I think it can be posted.

PLEASE IN NO WAY feel obligated to donate! I hate begging...

it takes 5 "loading" doses - one shot a week for 5 weeks, and then I onloy have to do 1 shot a month... I am looking forward to feeling and looking like a human being instead of a leper/bag lady!

You've had a crappy year, and that you feel bad for asking gives you so much more credibility than you realize.

I'll see what I can do when I get home this evening.

I'm kicking your OP.

If you haven't already, check into a reputable disability attorney to help with the efficiency of the disability red tape. You would have to ask about payment arrangements while in financial limbo. Some might be more lenient than others.

I also have an autoimmune disorder and I avoid foods with gluten. In the last 3 years that I stopped consuming gluten, it has helped me immensely. I still have fatigue and pain, but nothing like it was before.

Check with churches or food banks/pantries in your area to see if they can help. If you choose to avoid gluten, let them know that this protein escalates your psoriasis. Or any other foods that you feel that escalates it like sugar or dairy. Everyone is different and certain foods can impact our bodies differently.

I'm glad to hear that your new meds seem to be working. Here's hoping that they continue to help and lead into remission.

to anyone who even shared the link, I am grateful

I actually got the bank download last nite and can go pay the 48-hour notice on the Electric bill today!

and we will have enough to do a little grocery shop too...thank god, I'm out of coffee!

I plan on doing some "paying it forward" when I actually get my SDI, so please feel free to share with me your suggestions.

This constant nailbiting is just hell.... I'm sure it doesn't help with the whole healing process to be this stressed.
I am grateful I have a roof over my head, and kids that love me even when we struggle

And I plan on definitely paying it forward when my chunk finally comes!!!!
