Remember the Whataburger incident in TX where some white punks were taunting PoC (talking about hanging blacks for the July 4th) and got a Big Gulp got tossed in their faces by a Latino man (who was arrested, while the white kids got coddled as usual). "Oh we don't approve of violence" handwringing you heard from many white left .. of course overlooking the history of lynching and racism the Trumper kids were dreaming of resurrecting.

It seems like you’ve proven - yet again - those poor innocent boys from Covington were the REAL victims. Thank God they have you on their side.

...being boys (or something): in every picture that I see of Covington boys in a group, I realize I have not seen such awful jeering faces since the photos of white moms and dads and their kids spitting at black students trying to integrate a Southern high school.

I'm not sure why I think you and I are in the same generation, but the battle for integration was on tv and in LIFE magazine when I was a kid, and for me it was unforgettable. Those faces...

The Covington boyz have all the courage of a mob, and they wear the red cap and throw gang signs. They're real powerful when they surround someone they don't like, especially when the adults around them stand aside and let them get on with it.
