What is this person's agenda? Time to stop kidding ourselves. What actual Democrat is saying that trump's shutdown, the one he claimed the mantle for on national TV, is partly the Democrats' fault? IMO the agenda seems to be one of division. Is she this presidential cycle's Jill Stein, or that other divisive candidate?
The problem here is that this issue, like so many others in Washington, are being relegated to partisan politics, she said in an interview on CNNs State of the Union."
Where if a Republican is putting forward a proposal, Democrats are going to shoot it down. If Democrats are putting forward a proposal, Republicans are going to shoot it down, really thinking about which party can call a win on this issue.

(42,641 posts)When she said:
is she aware that Pelosi put forward a GOP proposal?
A proposal that the GOP passed in both chambers of Congress.
The problem is that Trump is an unstable and unreliable person with no integrity at all.

(9,895 posts)She does not appear to be a serious candidate in any sense of the word...her campaign has exactly the same chance as my own (unannounced write-in campaign) of actually garnering the nomination...publicity stunt to increase her profile and she seems ready to start filling in as "the next Joe Lieberman" if given half the chance...

(3,635 posts)no surprise to me that she's partially blaming Dems.
Shame that her challenger in her last primary didn't defeat her.

(54,358 posts)She said, "Where if a Republican is putting forward a proposal, Democrats are going to shoot it down."
To lend some veracity to her statement, it should have read: "Where if a Republican is putting forward a stupid, unworkable, highly partisan, unacceptable proposal, Democrats are going to shoot it down."
There, all fixed.

(12,448 posts)Luckily, they also have Masie Horono. She doesn't seem like she'll run, but I'd much rather have her as a candidate than Tulsi.
