I'm thinking he'll be talked into the "National Emergency" plan, because while it will most likely get sent to the courts and struck down, it will make Trump look "strong" to his base, and it won't have as much of a direct negative impact on Mitch and his minions who are up for re-election in 2020. If he LISTENS to McConnell at all, Mitch will tell him he's his bestest buddy EVAH, and that the National Emergency is the most "presidential" option of them all, because while McConnell is absolutely a turtle, he's also a SNAKE, and Trump is stupid enough to trust him, because in three weeks he will STILL be punch-drunk from Speaker Pelosi blistering his ass.
