"We've seen the Mueller report and it's spectacular"

...no, Jennifer Taub has NOT actually seen Muellers report. She means that WE have seen it telegraphed in his court docs.

...interesting (long) thread:

Jennifer Taub @jentaub Jan 26
1/ Special Counsel Robert Mueller is nearing the end of his 20-month probe into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. When the investigation closes he must provide the Attorney General with a confidential report explaining his prosecutorial decisions.

2/
In anticipation, some pundits warn us to dial down the enthusiasm. It'll be anti-climactic, they caution. Don’t expect a public report, some say. Ignore them. Pay attention to documents already filed. Through them, we/ve seen much of the Mueller Report. And it is spectacular

3/
From the first indictments through the latest, we’ve witnessed many months of colorful fireworks. By now, we’re inured to the explosions, overstimulated and worn down. But it's not the Fourth of July when, after the finale, we can just pack up in the smoky dark and head home

4/
No. It’s time for a real battle to begin. To prepare, let’s review where we are, what we know, and what we are still waiting for...

Jennifer Taub has never met Robert Mueller, the special counsel tasked with investigating Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

Yet, on Oct. 22, the Vermont Law Scool professor said she received an email floating an offer to discuss "past encounters" with Mueller, with the promise of money.

She immediately forwarded the email to the special prosecutor's office, which then referred it to the FBI, she told MSNBC's Ari Melber Tuesday.

...extensively outlined and buttressed by publicly available facts.

An intriguing point made that Mueller's case is right in front of us, telegraphed by his court docs, and supported by things we already know.

It's an interesting read. I like the lead in. It makes me wonder why there's so little focus on the details in those indictments and other pleadings. All the trouble Mueller took to put it all in there for us...

Thanks for posting this!

Who is Jennifer Taub and why does she get to see Mueller's report before it's been published? Mueller himself would never leak this, am I right?

She is saying that we all have seen the report via the public filings and indictments. Her lead-in tweet is kind of bait-switchy, which pisses me off a little.

...she makes a good case.

It's one thing to just make the assertion, she spends 100 or so tweets fleshing it out.

The evidence of conspiracy and obstruction is laid out in public filings and indictments.

The lede tweet is still a bit manipulative for my tastes.

The big question is, did the DNC and DNCC learn to never again use Microsoft Exchange Server (or any microsoft crap) to handle sensitive information?

We paid for it. Why is it a matter of national security for us to know our government is corrupt? Why do we get to know in 30 more years that the Bush family was in on 9/11?
