49. The word is 'histrionics', not 'hystrionics'
Fri Sep 7, 2012, 05:52 AM
Sep 2012

It comes from the Latin 'histrio' meaning 'actor'. Using a 'y' does not help your case at all, since it makes it look as if you were thinking 'hysterical', with the anti-woman connotations that has.

You know my point. You obliviously mocked my spelling. Then, after a go-around where you learned that I used site vernacular, you claim 'Oh, I knew that'.

It's amusing.

Now, if you want to end this properly, just say, "Oh, I forgot the 'sarcasm' tag in my initial response'.", That should about do it.

I only mocked YOUR spelling after you denigrated mine. "Go-around where I learned that I used site vernacular"???? More presumption on your part (did I spell that correctly?)

Clearly you don't agree with my opinion, no big thing. But to insult and mock ME in response, that's simply childish.

And now you're lecturing on the proper way to "end this"?

So you mocked my spelling because you didn't understand the vernacular.

Yeah, I get it.... you're ignorant, but still looking for an 'out'.

I gave you one. You declined out of pride and/or ignorance.

You're pathetic.

I don't care what you have to say anymore, you failed any and every test of intellect or maturity I care to throw at you.

It wasn't a freudian slip NOR was it any way of denigrating women!

No gender implications at all in my thoughts. If "we" (you, et. al.) read it that way I think it was a guilty conscience at work on your part.

Why not stop trying to read negativity into a simple observation?

I was proud of my sister woman, standing up there delivering with the best of them. She did so for her state when she was governor and she does so now.

If someone standing up and speaking heartfelt truth embarrasses you, perhaps Romney is your guy because you'll never hear truth from his lips.

What does THAT have to do with it? I was an observer - and my wife (yes, a "GAL", and a very liberal "GAL" at that!!) felt the same way that I did. The only thing missing was an empty chair next to her.

She gave an interview on PBS prior to her appearance, and reports were that she was "highly caffeinated"!
