The GOP aren't hiding their intent very well. What is amazing is that they have more than 2% support.

could possibly believe that the GOP would make things better for them.

How could anyone watch the RNC and think:
"They have some great ideas and they care what happens to me and my family!"

Are these people blind, crazy or just plain stupid?

Believe it or not I've actually met people who make minimum wage who think raising the minimum wage would be bad for them. They will give the line that raising minimum wage causes inflation resulting in the price of everything going up. Never mind when the minimum wage went up in 2006 it had been 10 to 12 sense the one before, and the prices of everything keep going up when it was $5.15 hr. Corporate America could argue not breathing is good for peoples health, and there would be people who believe it.

I can't get through to them. I try to give them the facts and they don't want to hear it. When it comes to government and politics, they have abandoned all logic and common sense.

A couple of them are self-employed. Financially, they did great under Clinton, they struggled under Bush and things have gotten better over the last year or two under Obama ... and they're voting for Romney.

Repukes open the door for it with social issues, and then talk radio brainwashed them on economic issues. What other explanation could there be from my point of view. In my State democrats have a 2/3 registration advantage over republicans. Yet the people of my State keep voting for republicans election after election.

I see it with my relatives. They believe what they hear without question. I get so angry because, outside of politics, they are intelligent people. I don't get it. They have computers and the internet - there's no excuse for their ignorance! I guess it's just easier to be told what to think.

You know, I have Grandparents that are tea party Republicans and hardcore Christians. They are soooo blinded by what they feel their faith dictates that it makes them completely blind to reality. Here's what they believe and promote;

1) Obama is a Muslim.
2) Obama wasn't born in the USA
3) Obama is a socialist
4) Obama doesn't support our troops
5) Democrats main goal is to raise taxes
6) Obamacare will bankrupt our country
7) Democrats create a welfare country
8) Obama has a secrete pro-Muslim agenda
9) Obama has greatly weakened our military
10) Obama negotiates with terrorists
11) Obama is limiting military voting rights
12) Planned parenthood is the devil in disguise.
13) A life is created at the time of conception.
14) No abortion. Period.
15) Christianity is the only religion going to heaven. All others are wrong, immoral and sinners.
16) They would never vote for a Democrat no matter how crazy or absurd the Republican alternative is. Period
17) All illegals should be deported immediately
18) Basically anything the Democrats do is a scandal and will end the world as we know it!!!

Let me tell you... Holidays are exhausting. How can a "Christian" hate so much??? What ever happened to "thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" Mark 12:31 (KJV)
"Forgive and forget" Ephesians 4:32 (King James Version) And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

In my personal experience, Christians are less forgiving, less accepting and less understanding. It's just very sad.

The thing that both depresses me and pisses me off is that people who watch Fox are so trusting. They believe that, somehow, if those things weren't true Fox wouldn't be allowed to say them on the air--it's called a news channel, after all. They go to their doctor's office or the airport or the car repair shop and Fox is on in the waiting area--therefore it must be just as mainstream as ABC, NBC, or CBS. I really think that misconception accounts for at least half of the damage that Fox does.
