Within the Hubei province, the mortality rate is about 1% when excluding the city of Wuhan (where it is 5.5%). For comparison, the case fatality rate with seasonal flu is less than 0.01% (1 death per every 10,000 cases). Mortality rate for SARS was 10%, and for MERS 34%.2 hours ago

...is using a term that translates to 'cured' rather than 'recovered'. I think that these are people who were ill enough to be hospitalized, who recovered under treatment and then were discharged.

There's no information on how many wound up hospitalized to begin with, or which patients were admitted instead of being quarantined somewhere. (I'm guessing that a 30 year old testing positive but with only minor symptoms would not be admitted.)
