The inevitable comparisons between Obama and Romney's speeches ensue, but there's been very little attention drawn to this fact. It's outrageous, that a candidate for commander in chief, while we are still at war, 'forgot' to mention our brave men and women in uniform and the sacrifices they make every day.
Why the silence on this MSM? I know I won't get an answer, as I watch you elevate Romney's speech and trash Obama's, then declare, as you keep doing, the race is a dead heat.
I am so tired of this crap, but instead of whining about things I can't change, I'm going to change what I can, and hope everyone else will too.
If you haven't done so, volunteer. Register voters. Make calls. Go door to door. Help in any way you can! GOTV!!!!

The media is going to try to keep it close to maximize the ad buys. Maybe that's for the best...let the Koch Brothers go broke trying to sell Romney. Good luck with that.

(31,706 posts)I've been watching conventions since 1964 and never had seen one, especially a rushpublican coven, where the military wasn't not only mentioned but given some prominent role in the proceedings. Damn right Democrats noticed the lack of mention of the troops. Maybe you were watching a different convention that I was but I heard Senator Kerry, AG Biden and the Vice President talk about the troops. One of VP Biden's most touching moments is when he mentioned the number of "fallen angels"...those who've lost their lives in Iraq & Afghanistan.
Seems MSNBC was picking up on this as did callers I heard on C-SPIN...and I suspect it will be part of the Democratic party playbook through November. Bishop Willard looks like a little pampered rich boy...out of his league after what we witnessed in Charlotte. Sad thing is there are 40% or so of the electorate who don't like the colored fella no matter what...thus, as you say, the importance of us to connect with the rest and make sure they not only vote for President Obama but also Democrats to help restore sanity to the House and Senate...
