Joe Scarborough just couldn't find anything bad to say on The Today Show this morning

Savannah Guthrie interviewed him this morning and he just seemed a little defeated. He had to admit that there was no comparison between Charlotte and Tampa. Savannah asked Joe to compare the two conventions like two prizefighters, like Ali-Frazier. He scoffed and said, "Ali-Frazier? It's more like Muhammad Ali vs. Chuck Wepner." At the end of the interview, she thanked him and said that she'd pretend to know who Chuck Wepner is. She went to Matt Lauer and he told her, "Chuck Wepner was a fighter known as the 'Bayonne Bleeder."

I watched some of Joe Starbucks and even the panel couldn't find fault with anything. They even loved Jennifer Granholm! I thought for sure they were going to mock her enthusiasm but they didn't. They loved it. So did I. I miss her in Michigan!

All in all, a satisfying morning news show viewing experience and my blood pressure didn't rise once. I'll bet the President's bounce coming out of the convention will be more than a point.

One thing that struck me was that he was referring to President Obama as "The President" quite a bit. There was more of a respectful tone than usual, at least for the part I saw, he doesn't do that often.

I love our President and he gave one hell of a speech last night. I woke this morning feeling like I did the day after the win in '08, a little bit giddy and a whole lot Proud

less than 100,000 jobs -no where near enough jobs and less created than last month

8.3 -8.1 good but could be better

there will be a way to twist everything
